Hi, I’m Rachel. I am a counsellor (MACP, CCC), working primarily with individuals and couples, based out of Southern Alberta. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I am certified with the CCPA and ACTA. I provide virtual and phone counselling to clients across Canada.
My counselling style is an integrative approach based on cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). The reason I use an integrative approach is because we are all unique and come with our own experiences, perspectives, and needs. I believe that every client requires a different type of therapy that is catered to their needs, goals, and current situation – and I draw on several theories to help develop that plan.
My goal as a counsellor is to meet my client where they are, work within their goals and experiences to achieve progress that is meaningful to them.
I enjoy reading, hiking in the beautiful Rockies, creating art, spending time with family and friends, and spending time with my three dogs.
